Ford Ranger Maintenance Cost & PMS Schedule in the Philippines

Car Maintenance 8 min read

Quick Answer

Ford's own calculator prices a Next-Gen Ranger 2.0 4x4 PMS at about ₱8,390 for the first 10,000 km service and ₱9,734 to ₱13,540 for most later visits, with big jumps at 60,000 km (about ₱27,397, timing belt and fuel filter) and 100,000 km (about ₱55,100, transmission, transfer case and differential fluids). Services fall every year or 10,000 km.

Ford Ranger maintenance cost is easier to pin down than you might expect, because Ford Philippines runs an online service price calculator that prices each PMS by dealer. Using it for a Next-Gen Ranger 2.0 diesel at a Metro Manila dealer, this guide breaks down every 10,000 km interval in pesos, explains the fuel filter, timing belt and 4x4 fluid jobs behind the expensive visits, and covers what changes with the V6-only 2027 lineup and the gasoline Raptor.

Ford Ranger PMS Schedule and the Oil Life Monitor

Ford Philippines schedules Next-Gen Ranger services every year or every 10,000 km, whichever comes first, and its calculator maps them out to 10 years or 100,000 km. That is a longer gap than the 5,000 km interval some other brands use, but the truck adds a second trigger: Intelligent Oil Life Monitoring (IOLM).

IOLM shows remaining oil life on the instrument cluster and in the Ford app. Once it reads 5%, Ford says the oil should be changed within two weeks or 800 km. Ford also states that changing oil according to the oil life reading keeps the standard warranty valid for five years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first, so a Ranger doing heavy towing, provincial hauls or long idling in traffic may need an oil change before its next yearly PMS.

Check your free labor coupons, too. Rangers bought before January 1, 2024 came with one free-labor coupon for the first service at one year or 10,000 km. Trucks bought from January 1, 2024 get two, covering the first and second services at one year or 10,000 km and two years or 20,000 km.

Ford Ranger PMS Cost per Interval at the Casa

The figures below come straight from Ford Philippines' Service Price Calculator, checked on October 9, 2026 for a Next-Gen Ranger 2.0L 4x4 10-speed automatic at Makati Ford. They include 12% VAT, 8 liters of Motorcraft engine oil, an oil filter, a drain plug washer, a miscellaneous fee and labor at Ford's posted rate of ₱1,200 per hour. Ford notes that labor and miscellaneous fees vary by dealer, so a provincial dealer's figure may differ.

The pattern is easy to read: a plain oil service with paid labor is just under ₱10,000, the cabin filter and brake fluid add roughly ₱1,500 each when they come due, and the two big spikes are 60,000 km and 100,000 km. The calculator still bills scheduled labor at 20,000 km, so if your truck qualifies for the second free-labor coupon, ask the dealer to apply it.

For comparison, the 4x2 6-speed automatic variant's 100,000 km service came out at about ₱52,279 at the same dealer. Use the calculator yourself with your own dealer selected before you book, since parts prices change.

Diesel Items: Fuel Filter and the 2.0's Wet Timing Belt

Two of the line items that make the 60,000 km Ranger service cost nearly three times a normal visit are diesel-engine jobs. Ford's calculator lists the fuel filter at ₱5,121 and bills a timing belt at ₱3,971 plus a tensioner at ₱3,657, all before VAT, along with 1.8 hours of scheduled labor.

The fuel filter is the diesel item to watch if you often fill up at unfamiliar stations or in the provinces. The calculator schedules it at 60,000 km, but you can ask the dealer to inspect it at earlier visits if the truck starts to feel down on power.

The timing belt applies to the 2.0 diesel in Next-Gen Rangers built before the 2027 update. CarGuide reported that Ford's 2027 update moved the 2.0 from a wet timing belt to a timing chain, which confirms the earlier engines run their belt in oil. That is one more reason to use the specified oil and not stretch oil changes past the IOLM reminder.

4x4 Fluids: Transfer Case, Differentials and the 10-Speed

The 100,000 km service is where 4x4 ownership shows up on the bill. On the Next-Gen Ranger 2.0 4x4, Ford's calculator lists 12 liters of automatic transmission fluid at ₱6,180, transfer case fluid at ₱1,028, front and rear differential fluid at ₱13,788 plus a further ₱758 line, and 4 liters of 50:50 engine coolant at ₱6,576, all before VAT.

Labor is the other big number. The calculator books 8.3 hours of scheduled-maintenance labor for this visit, which is ₱9,960 before VAT at ₱1,200 per hour. Add the oil service and the total lands at about ₱55,100, compared with about ₱52,279 for the 4x2 6-speed.

If you wade through floodwater, cross rivers or run the truck off-road, do not wait for the odometer. Ask the dealer to inspect the differential and transfer case fluids for water contamination after any deep-water drive, and keep the receipts with your service record.

2027 V6 Ranger and Raptor: What Changes for Maintenance

Ford Philippines reshaped the Ranger range in September 2026. The 2027 lineup dropped the XLT, XLS and Sport trims and the 2.0 bi-turbo, and the Wildtrak 3.0 V6 4x4 (₱2,469,000) and Wildtrak X 3.0 V6 4x4 (₱2,609,000) now use a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel rated at about 250 hp and 600 Nm, paired with the 10-speed automatic.

When we checked on October 9, 2026, Ford's Service Price Calculator listed only the 2.0L engine under Next-Gen Ranger, so there is no published per-visit price for the V6 diesel yet. If you own one, ask your dealer for an itemized quote using the same layout as the table above.

The Raptor is a different case. The current Raptor (₱2,879,000) uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost gasoline engine, so the diesel fuel filter job does not apply to it. Ford's calculator prices its first 10,000 km service at about ₱7,589 at Makati Ford, using 7 liters of oil instead of the 2.0 diesel's 8.

Service Plans, Promos and Casa vs Independent Shops

Ford's Scheduled Service Plan (SSP) is a prepaid package that covers future periodic services such as oil changes and air and fuel filters, locks in today's prices and transfers to the next owner. It is only available for vehicles under 12 months old with fewer than 10,000 km. Owners who missed it can buy SSP Plus, a three-year package covering scheduled maintenance from 20,000 to 100,000 km, at any time. Until October 31, 2026, new Rangers also come with Ford's free 5-Star Care Package: a five-year warranty on more than 1,000 key parts, a five-year SSP covering PMS for up to 60 months or 50,000 km, price protection and five years of roadside assistance.

For older trucks, watch for Ford's Oil Care Saver Pack. The July 1 to September 30, 2026 round priced a basic oil change at ₱6,999 for the Ranger 2.0 (7 liters) and ₱7,599 for the Ranger 2.2 (8 liters), including labor, for selected out-of-warranty units over three years old. That round has ended, so check Ford's service offers page before booking. Ford's Express Service is designed to finish in 90 minutes, including a car wash.

We could not find a current, verifiable independent-shop price list for the Ranger, so we have not printed one. An independent shop's savings usually come from labor and parts sourcing, so ask for the same itemization the calculator gives you: oil brand and liters, filter part numbers and labor hours. If the truck is still under warranty or on an SSP, read the service conditions before going outside Ford's dealer network.
