Before you approve an estimate in Cainta

  1. Ask for the estimate in writing with parts and labor on separate lines, and the odometer reading on it.
  2. Ask whether each part is genuine (OEM), aftermarket or surplus, and have the shop write the brand on the estimate. Surplus is fine for a radiator or alternator; avoid it for brake and steering parts.
  3. Ask for the old parts back. It is the simplest proof the work was done.
  4. For anything above ₱5,000, get a second quote from a shop on this page; the spread between casa, specialist and talyer is wide, as the table above shows.
  5. If the car is under warranty, do scheduled PMS at any authorized dealer of your brand and keep the stamped booklet and receipts (see the warranty guide).
  6. Agree on the turnaround before leaving the car; ask the shop to call before adding any work not on the estimate.
  7. Pay only against an official receipt that shows the plate number or VIN and the date. Under Article 71 of the Consumer Act, a service shop must guarantee its workmanship and parts for at least 90 days.

Figures are the ranges stated in Car Care PH guides as of October 2026, cross-checked against prices posted by shops in Metro Manila, Cebu and Laguna. They are benchmarks for comparing quotes, not an offer by any listed shop. Shops on this page set their own prices; call ahead.
